Day 1: Theni to Mysore & Palace Illumination
• Morning (6:00 AM): Pick up from Theni by Rengha Travels Sedan.
• Daytime: Drive from Theni to Mysore (approx. 8-9 hours). The journey will be long, so minimal stops are advised.
• Afternoon (3:00 PM): Arrive in Mysore, check into your hotel, and relax briefly.
• Evening (6:00 PM): Visit the magnificent Mysore Palace. If your visit is on a Sunday or a Public Holiday, stay until 7:00 PM to witness the spectacular evening illumination when the palace is lit up with thousands of bulbs.
• Night: Overnight stay in Mysore.
Day 2: Mysore Heritage & Drive to Coorg
• Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
• Morning Sightseeing: Visit Chamundi Hills to see the Chamundeshwari Temple and get a panoramic view of the city. Optionally, visit the Mysore Zoo.
• Mid-day: Drive from Mysore to Coorg (Madikeri) (approx. 3 hours).
• Afternoon: Check into your hotel in Coorg.
• Evening Sightseeing: Visit Abbey Falls (tucked between coffee plantations) and head to Raja’s Seat to enjoy the beautiful sunset view over the valleys and mountains.
• Night: Overnight stay in Coorg.
Day 3: Coorg Sightseeing, Manasakudi & Drive to Ooty
• Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
• Coorg Sightseeing: Visit the Golden Temple (Namdroling Monastery), one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India, near Kushalnagar. Afterwards, visit Dubare Elephant Camp for a unique experience (or simply see the elephants from the banks of the Kaveri River).
• Mid-day/Afternoon: Travel via Manasakudi: Begin the drive towards Ooty (approx. 6-7 hours).
o We will include a stop/drive-through at Manasakudi en route. Manasakudi is a small locality; your driver will point out this location as you pass through or take a brief stop as part of your route to Ooty.
• Late Afternoon: Enter the forest area of Bandipur/Mudumalai National Park (your vehicle will pass through here).
• Evening: Arrive at Ooty, check into your hotel, and relax.
• Night: Overnight stay in Ooty.
Day 4: Ooty & Coonoor Scenic Tour
• Morning: After breakfast, start your sightseeing.
• Ooty Highlights: Visit Doddabetta Peak, the highest point in the Nilgiri Mountains, for a stunning view. Then, visit the Botanical Garden and the Rose Garden.
• Afternoon: Coonoor Trip: Take a short drive or an optional ride on the historic Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Toy Train) to Coonoor.
o In Coonoor, visit Sim’s Park (a botanical garden) and Dolphin’s Nose Viewpoint for a breathtaking sight of the valley and Catherine Falls.
o Visit a Tea Factory and Museum for a taste of the Nilgiri specialty.
• Evening: Return to Ooty. You can spend time at Ooty Lake for boating or visit the local market.
• Night: Overnight stay in Ooty.
Day 5: Ooty to Theni Departure
• Morning: After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
• Optional Sightseeing (Time Permitting): Visit Pykara Waterfalls and the nearby Pykara Lake/Boat House or the Pine Forest shooting spot.
• Daytime: Start the return journey from Ooty to Theni (approx. 6-7 hours).
